So it's been A good week in healthy land. I have been eating healthy at lunch at work with fruit and veggies, and eating sensible dinners. Go portion control! I found out 2 days ago that squats are my enemy. I am still paying for them, well being way out of shape is more like it. I feel the burn, and the feeling I might not get back up after crouching down. never the less I'm going to stick to it. Strength training is making a comeback. My right arm is so week after this winters fall and messing up the tendons. I had been too afraid to over work it so when I started using the 5lb weights again it was killer. I think I'm going to start going to the gym with a friend. When there is someone to work out with it's always more motivating.
It all seems to be paying off. Weighed myself this morning and I'm down 3lbs. And to top it all of I come home and put shorts on that I bought two months back and they are falling off of me. This is good that I'm shrinking but bad that i just bought all new summer cloths 2 weeks ago that might not fit by the end of the summer. The price you pay to be healthy.

Hi My Name Is Nikki And I'm A Sugar Addict (Get Fit Weeks 3 - 5)
I have been really slacking on my healthy plan for the past month, but in the past week I have been getting back on track. I have been watching my portions and and choosing healthier options. I have been doing more walking around town and starting to lift weights again. Since the beginning of the week I am down 5lbs and doing a happy dance for.
It's funny how when I eat junk like chips and snack cakes for so long I seriously for get how to eat healthy. I asked a friend who is big in to health what to eat cause I had for gotten how to eat healthy. It's like I get junk food brain washed and now I need to train myself to eat healthy. I also feel like I need to somehow detox from sugar I feel like someone addicted to drugs, I need it, I need it. Hi my name is Nikki and I'm a sugar addict.
Plan for week 6
- Detox from sugar
- incorporate more exercise
- Keep up with portion control and keep making healthier choices.

Epic Fail!!! (Get Fit Week 2)
Happy Easter All!
So this week in the world of getting healthy was an epic fail. Because of the Holliday my job is hectic beyond belief. I have had to switch my normal schedule for overnights which then also switches my diet to Little Debbie’s, coffee, soda, and pretzels, yah not conducive to a healthy diet. As far as exercising goes it’s been work sleep work sleep work. When I get a chance to sleep it’s for 14 hours at a time. So needless to say I haven’t lost any weight but the good news is with the horrible diet I haven’t gained any either.
Plan for week 2
-calorie counting
-Elliptical cardio

Here I go again. (Get Fit Week 1)
After months of being lazy and bad eating habits a surge of motivation has hit me. I seem to find that it usually has a direct correlation with warmer weather and more sunshine. Whatever the case may be I have made the decision the get back on the healthy track. All winter I have been a glutinous sloth, I have been feeling rundown and lacking energy and I think that eating healthy and exercise are just the keys to feeling better. Losing weight would be a perk. I would love to go clothing shopping and be able to pick something out and have it fit and not worry about the store not having any more fat girl sizes.
I have done this before, get the motivation to get healthy and lose weight but it doesn’t last long. That is why I’m putting this out for the world. If I let others know what I’m doing or do it with someone then I feel like I have someone that I have to be accountable to. I don’t want to let someone down so I keep it up. So I’m going to make this into a weekly update, how I’m feeling, what I’m doing and if it’s working.
The plan for week 1
- Calorie counting. I have a problem with overeating and eating the wrong stuff, this helps me be more conscientious of what and how much I’m eating.
- Working out. Finally putting the elliptical I bought months ago to use.
