So far I'm loving these shadows. They are a cream shadow that set and will not budge. I do recommend working quickly with them to blend them out, the shadows will set quickly. The shadows last all day with out creasing for me which says a lot because I very oily lids and even after 14 hours no creasing. I can't imagine a need to wear shadow for 24 hours These shadows work great by themselves as all over color or as a base for other shadows.  I can't wait to try out some more colors and I think these would be a great addition to any makeup collection.

Too Faced In Your Dreams Pallet Review

Silk Stalkings, La Cage, Rapture, Wanna Play?, Give It up
Pink Peacock, Swing, Fishnet, Girly Show, Pink Ice
Full Moon, Dream On, Seduce, You Hold The Key, Heat On
I think it's perfect for the makeup novice  giving three complete looks. The packaging is supper cute. I also like that it is nice and flat which is good for easy storage. There are instructions on the inside cover of the pallet on how to put together three different looks.
The shadows are nicely pigmented with a velvety texture. All of the eyeshadows have either a metallic or a shimmer. I would of liked to see one or two matte shadows in the mix. I also found the colors in the first two rows to be fairly similar. All three bushes are very wearable for everyday. The lip colors are sheer and glossy with a smooth non-sticky texture. Over all I really like this pallet. I think it's a great pallet of makeup beginners and everyday looks.

NYX Haul & Beautyjoint.com review

I recently purchased some NYX cosmetics from Beautyjoint.com over black friday. Beauty joint sells NYX cosmetics at about 40%-50% off regular NYX prices. We all love saving money! They also sell Milani cosmetics, Jordana, and China Glaze at reduced prices.

Overall I was really happy with the site, prices and the products. The products arrived and each was wraped in bubble wrap to prevent breakage and everything was perfect and intact.  My only complaint was the swatch of the Eros lipstick. From the swatch on the site I thought Eros was going to be a nude pink color but when I received it it was really a bright coral red. It was a beautiful color but I was expecting it to be a nude. So just check with the NYX site first to make sure the color you see is the color you'll get. I think that they may have gotten them mixed up a bit.

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine Review

 www.newyorkcolor.com
Have you heard the gossip? There’s a new gloss in town! NYC New York Color Liquid Lip Shine is getting headlines with seriously high-drama color at a seriously low price. Pure pigments give a 3-D effect that’s off-the-charts glossy. Tons of hot new shades, from preppy nudes to bold statement hues – all for less than your weekly fashion magazine.

 Benefits

  • Pure pigments, 3D-effect shine
  • Lips feel moisturized
  • Creamy and soft texture
  • Non-sticky
Description from NewYorkColor.com

I have been using was Nude York City # 582, which I received complementary to test  through Infuenster's Voxbox program. It's a nice sheer nude, perfect to wear alone or over lipstick.

PROS-
  • I liked the multi-toned skimmer it has, it's very fine and subtle.
  • It's a great sheer nude color
  • Nicely moisturizing
  • it has a nice sweet sugary sent.
  • the applicator is flexible at the end which makes it easier to apply
CONS
  • my only con was it was slightly sticky. It wasn't too bad but could be better, on a scale of 1- 10 1 being the stickiest i would give it a 7 for stickiness.
Over all I think that for the inexpensive price its a good lip gloss. I'm interested in trying some of the brighter colors to see how pigmented they are.

NOTD Pool Boy With Snowflakes

OCC Pool Boy

So I recently got my order from OCC's black friday sale so I decided to try it out. Wow what a color! It will be a great color for summer by the pool but it's also a great winter baby blue. I had seen a tutorial on how to do snow flakes and wanted to try them out and they make the perfect combo. The polish is so opaque and would be fine with one thick coat. I think I found a new favorite color!

Here is the video that inspired the snow flakes. Thanks Iris for such an easy nail art tutorial that even the nail art challenged (me) can do.

NOTD Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Rare (part 2), with Barry M Crackle.

yes I am quite possibly the worlds worst manicurist.

So decided to try out the neon yellow Illamasqua with the black crackle. I added a maroony purple with silver crackle as an accent. I think it gives that 80's feel.

NOTD Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Rare

While In New Your City last week I picked up some things at Sephora. I had never tried anything from Illamasqua and then I saw this color and couldn't resist. I was immediately draw to the bright neon construction worker yellow. The color however looks best in white or daylight, it doesn't look as neon under incandescent light bulbs, but out in the sun light it is full neon day glow.

The finish of the polish is a satin finish, which i wasn't too much of a fan of so I just added a glossy topcoat. I have been wearing the polish for about 4 days now and it wears very well, with little peeling or chipping, and I am hard on my polish with my hands in dish water a lot at work, and home.

I tried the polish with an accent nail with white crackle over it but it only seemed to wash out the bright vibrancy of the yellow. I think next time I will try it with a black or deep blue crackle.

I’ve been looking for a while in the drugstore brands for cream shadows, and now Maybelline has a collection of cream shadows. They come in 6 different pallets each with 3 shadows.  The reason I like these is they can be used in a couple different ways. 1, they can be used as eyeshadows. 2, they can be used as a cream base to help your eyeshadows or pigments stick and intensify them. 3, they can be used as eye liners. The colors are nicely pigmented all with a shimmer to them.  The texture is nice and creamy, the colors go smoothly onto the eye, and they blend well.

Look created with 20 Purple Possibilities pallet. light pink as a base and dark purple for the liner
Look created with 20 Purple Possibilities pallet.
List of colors
05 Flash Of Forest (Gold, Green, Brown)
10 Blue Freeze (powder blue, blue, dark silver)
15 Rose Revolution (light natural pink, dark neutral pink, brown)
20 Purple Possibilities (gold, deep purple, light purple)
25 Neutral Liaisons (light tan, med brown, dark brown)
30 Pedal To The Metal (medium tan, dark tan, silver)
(Color names in parenthesis are my visual descriptions of the colors.)

Note: I took the picture of the makeup look after about 8 hours of wear and noticed the shadow had creased.
I still like these a lot and think that there is a lot that can be done with them.
